We have banked with LCBT for over 30 years. They are reliable, helpful, and have generously supported our goals to promote literacy in our community.

Lapeer County Bank & Trust Co. is very community oriented; they give back in so many ways. They have helped our club and many other organizations. They provide free advertising to ours and other local community groups. They sell our Fantasy Forest tickets every year. They encourage and therefore have many employees who are members of local organizations. We are very grateful to have a local bank that cares about and gives back to our community.

Lorretta Deneweth, President
Zonta Club of Lapeer

CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) Farmers Market is about bringing local organic food to local customers who want to invest their dollars in our local economy while getting a local source of organic food. I chose to open our business account with Lapeer County Bank & Trust Co. because they are a locally owned bank. They invest in our community by supporting local charitable organizations. They also encourage their employees to volunteer within our community.  They have not been sold and resold to other banking conglomerates. And when you want to talk to the bank president, you can.

It only seemed logical that banking with a locally owned bank like LCBT was a perfect fit.

Lapeer Bank and Trust has been a valued partner since Stone Soup Food Pantry opened its doors in 2011. In addition to the broad array of financial services LCBT provides, the staff demonstrates their personal commitment to the Lapeer County community through their volunteerism and Attica Branch Officer Liz McVety’s dedication – working with Stone Soup’s leadership team to ensure responsible stewardship of the financial donations of the community to the pantry. We consider LCBT a true partner in working together in the fight against hunger throughout Lapeer County.

We have a high volume business and quality financial support is a must. From business accounts to personal checking, and even financing, LCBT has never let us down. We often deal face-to-face with their staff at the Main Office, and they are always friendly. To walk into a lobby and be greeted on a first name basis is a rare thing these days. "We started Efficient Foam Insulation in 1988. Lapeer County Bank & Trust Co. was our bank of choice back then and still is today. I think it has really paid off for us, especially with electronic personal and business online banking, and the debit card system. I don't know what I would do if I had to start writing checks again. Banking at LCBT couldn't be easier. You are always greeted with a smile at Lapeer County Bank & Trust Co."

"We moved our family and business to Lapeer 17 years ago and have been banking with Lapeer County Bank ever since. While I love the convenience of online banking and use it almost daily, I appreciate being able to deal with “real,” local, caring people when it matters. That was especially important a few years ago when my signature was fraudulently scanned onto fake payroll checks. A “real” person at LCBT noticed the check form was unusual for us and called me. I confirmed the fraud and fortunately, when I needed to deal with various departments in the “home office” that didn’t mean a stranger on an 800 number – it simply meant a two minute drive downtown to meet face to face with “real” people that knew us and knew that while we needed to protect our assets, we also needed to keep our good checks clearing and our employees needed to cash their payroll checks without a delay. We’re a small town business and we know how to combine small town caring and service with big town products, technology and know-how. It only makes sense that we would do our banking with a company that can do the same!"

"My wife and I have been self employed for almost 35 years and currently own several businesses. We have banked with some of the largest banks in the country and I can honestly say LCBT beats them all, hands down. Whether as an individual or as a small business, big banks soon lose you in the shuffle of their bureaucracy, not true with LCBT. Their commitment to the Lapeer community is unparalleled, from the president and board members down to each branch worker, they care deeply about their customers and the people of Lapeer. They stay in touch... I never hesitate to recommend LCBT to anyone looking for a good bank and I would be glad to discuss my experience with the bank to anyone that cares to contact me."

"I started a banking relationship with Lapeer County Bank & Trust Co. when I was 15 years old. Just a small savings account fed with money I earned working after school. Now 45 years, a wife, 2 daughters and a number of large loans later, I'm still banking exclusively with LCBT. And even though today, with all the technology, I'm quite certain I could do all my banking with an iPod on a remote island in the Caribbean, I still love walking through the doors of the Main Office (or any of the branches) for one simple reason - familiar, smiling faces! They know me and I know them. Just like family."

They also take the time to talk to you about new services they can offer to help save time and money.  You are a friend and a customer, not just an account number. "We moved to Lapeer County in 1989 and our roots were touched by yours. Many good things happened-checking, savings, mortgages, and Trust services. And then came Online Banking!

In 2010 we moved to a Retirement Estate in Vero Beach, Florida, for the next phase of our journey. And guess what? We continued to do all our banking online and via phone. And LCBT continues to provide us personalized and excellent support to service our banking needs. A special note of thanks to the Trust Department and the Imlay City Branch staff, but all departments have been there for us when we needed them."

"Having eDeposit in our office has been key to maintaining timely banking. In our particular business we handle many checks per day at all times of the day. We now also have 3 offices located in 3 different counties and are able to keep all of our banking with LCBT due solely to eDeposit. Without this, it would have been impossible. It has also been important that whenever I have had a problem, the response time for support from LCBT has been very quick and efficient. I am never left waiting for answers. I highly recommend this system for anyone considering it."

"Dragon Karate School opened in 1992 and has always done business with LCBT. We have been very happy with the personal and courteous service LCBT gives us. Using the Funds Management services has made collecting students tuition so much easier. It saves us time handling our accounts electronically. “We opened a checking account soon after we opened our photography studio. It became apparent that we would need to accept credit cards in our business. We needed to not only accept credit cards at the studio but when we photograph hockey tournaments we need to be able to accept credit cards at the tournament. Lapeer County Bank and Trust personnel provided us with the required equipment and information to provide our customers with the ability to accept their credit and debit cards. This improved our business position and improved our image to our customers. Lapeer County Bank and Trust also provided our business with the capability to deposit customers checks by scanning the check and making an electronic presentation of the check. This meant no more trips to the bank to deposit checks. We can make the deposits from our studio. This is a great help when we are photographing sporting events or church directories. We make the deposits at our convenient time even after normal banking hours.

We are very happy with our decision to have Lapeer County Bank and Trust handle our banking needs. The bank personnel has made a great effort to make it convenient to sign any paperwork necessary for our banking needs. They have even come to the studio to help set up equipment to make sure it operated correctly and that we were instructed how to use the equipment and services of the bank.”

“LCBT was ready to help me expand my business when I was ready and on my time table, not theirs. As business owners when we present a proposal to banks and other lending institutions we often hear “it looks like a great deal, a fabulous opportunity! BUT things are tight right now or we just are not investing in these kinds of projects right now.” NOT at LCBT! When I called a time was immediately set up to meet. At the meeting I was given all the time I needed, they asked questions and immediately went to work on my proposal. At no time did I feel UN-important to them or that my proposal was at the bottom of the basket on someone's desk. When I called my calls were always taken, my questions were always answered and within a reasonable amount of time I had the approval I needed to move forward with a deal that will certainly double my business in the next couple of years.

Thanks Lapeer County Bank & Trust, the down turn in our economy gave me a once in a lifetime opportunity and you were ready to get to work and take advantage of that opportunity Now.”
